As of this moment, I don't have plans to be at the beach this summer but I can sit by a pool and read and pretend. Here are a few books that I picked up to read this summer.

Great picks! I haven't heard of any of these, but I like some of their covers. Thanks for bringing them to my attention. :)

Great picks! I loved Where Did You Go Bernadette even though it ended up being completely different than expected.I'm interested in Gilding the Lily, For the King and How to Be an American Housewife. Thanks for sharing! And I think the pool is as good as a beach - no jellyfish!

Great picks. A lot of these are new to me and I'll definitely be looking them up on Goodreads. I remember reading and loving Dorothy Koomson's Marshmallows for Breakfast but I think Goodnight Beautiful was my favourite.

I've seen Cinderella's Dress on a couple of lists, sounds really interesting. And not at all what I expected from that cover!

Major cover love for some of these! I looked at Cinderella's Dress and that's such a unique premise! Not necessarily a retelling, but just a modern continuation of the story. Great list!
