Happy Day

Today is a happy day!! I am so excited to share with you a little secret I've been keeping. I am a member of the Simply Sista's & Card Scents Design Team!! Ya'll have no idea how excited I am. Amy has the neatest girly-girls in her stamp line. And a way to add scent to your cards. I don't have my scents yet, but I can hardly wait! Can you imagine how stinkin' cool it's going to be to get to send out a card that smells yummy AND looks yummy!! She has tons of scents too! And of course, my wish list is a mile long!! Seriously. I sat and looked at the list and kept thinking of stamps that I had that would go with a scent. I did narrow it down to "just the basics". You know, baby powder, lilac, french vanilla coffee. Mmmm, I love the smell of coffee!! I will fill you in on all that later when they arrive.
What is really cool about her line is that she is offering it 3 different ways. Talk about making everybody happy! You can go download the images right now.....and re-size them to whatever your project dictates. I really enjoyed that luxury this weekend.
So this is Bailey Jane. And I chose her for my first project because I just knew she would pair perfectly with a handmade treat. I will be seeing some teacher friends today and wanted to take them a treat**. This is the time of the school year when teachers get so tired ---- and we love chocolate and used to joke about what a pick-me-up it was.*** So, just like Bailey Jane, I whipped up some chocalately goodness!! The box is actually a lia sophia jewelry box* that I covered with paper and lined with wax paper on the inside.

*I knew holding on to those would come in handy one day!
**I only ate 2 truffles. So far.
*I had a student once tape a piece of chocolate onto an assignment he was turning in late. How sweet is that? Made it hard to stay irritated at him - which I'm sure was his ingenius plan all along! You bet I enjoyed that sweet morsel too! *wink*
