What's Your Reason?

Julie Campbell posted a story today about a card she made specifically for someone. I got the impression that this was not the norm - that she makes cards first and then gives them to people. She then closed her post challenging her readers to specifically make a card to give to someone - and see the power of the gift on that person.

Which I find kinda odd. Like not weird odd - just different from me odd. I pretty much make cards with a recipient in mind. Even if I don't know *exactly* who will get it, I know that it'll go to someone.
I figure what's the point of making all these things if they are given away? Not to say that I don't have a stack of cards - but I don't just make them and then keep them.

It's a great idea. And it's why I like to make cards - to send to someone. So what about you? Do you send off the majority of the cards you make or do you keep them?

I keep nothing! I give them away..... I love creating and sharing. I can't imagine not doing anything different.

I see I used a double negative in my post above... sorry for the poor grammar. (now I am wondering if I spelled grammar correctly!) UGH!

I send out about 10% of the cards I make. And when I do have an occasion come up...like someone's birthday, well I'm compelled to make a card just for them even though I have about 200 cards sitting around LOL! I do most of the SCS challenges, plus design team work; I love to create, and make about 10 cards in any given week!

Sending cards always makes me happy, I love knowing that my work can brighten someone's day. So I always make them with the intent to send them out. :)

I make cards for SCS challenges, my blog, but most of all because I am a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. So, I make cards more often as samples for my workshops, etc... not necessarily for a person in mind.

I have a large bin of cards that were created for no one in particular, so I can see exactly where Julie Campbell is coming from on what she said.
